TacOps provides the user with a limited ability to alter scenarios through the deletion of selected startup units as well the addition of optional units.  A point system is provided to help guide players who want to balance or unbalance a given scenario - perhaps for a friendly handicap for a more skilled player. The values shown below are intended to reflect a unit's lethalityagainst appropriate targets and or its general usefulness in combination with other units.  For example the AH64 Apache helicopter has a very high point value. Its value is based primarily on its personal lethality against armored vehicles. The Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) is also very highly rated, but its value is based primarily on the enhanced lethality that its presence gives to other units, particulary off map artillery.

  7. The points shown are for one infantry team or squad, or one heavy weapon team, or one vehicle. For example, one T80 tank is worth 85 points while a T80 tank company with 10 tanks would be worth 850 points (10 x 85).
